Shawn is a Senior Crown Prosecutor, appearing regularly in the District Court and High Court. She has also appeared in the Court of Appeal.
Shawn started her legal career at the Public Defence Service, and then as a junior barrister at a private practice in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. As a criminal defence lawyer, she represented defendants facing a range of criminal offences. She has also appeared before the Parole Board and in Mental Health Act proceedings.
Prior to joining Luke Cunningham Clere, Shawn worked at the Office of the Crown Solicitor for the South Canterbury region.
